High school senior Paul Watry, 17, was killed by an illegal alien who failed to stop at a stop sign. Watry of Port Washington, WI, was a passenger in a car broadsided.
Paul was a tissue and organ donor. He was in the school jazz band, a member of the National Honor Society, and had planned to pursue a business degree in college.
Eddie Carbajal-Lile, an illegal alien, drove his vehicle into Paul and two others and fled the accident scene on foot. When he was arrested, he gave the police one of his at least six aliases. He was convicted previously of driving without a license and DUI but was never deported.
A coworker of Carbajal-Lile’s told police he had been drinking with Carbajal-Lile and several other friends at a tavern about two miles from the crash site and that he had seen Carbajal-Lile drink at least five or six beers in the three hours before the crash
Carbajal-Lile received a 15-year sentence.
